IT companies with record salaries for programmers

t just so happened that the current top was taken exclusively by American companies - this country is still the epicenter of the development of world information technologies. It may seem unusual to some of the emerging trend of ousting traditional “payroll heavyweights” from the IT industry - Facebook and Google - by dynamically growing IT companies from the “second tier”. Along the way, for a quick acquaintance, we will give very brief responses about each company from its employees: both “for” and “against”.

This rating of IT salaries was compiled by BusinessInsider as of March 2013, for which we used open data from both the companies themselves and Comscore information. All this was additionally checked against the open sources of the Glassdoor site for reliability. From there, general feedback from employees was taken about their companies, which, however, are often subjective. Therefore, as far as possible, I tried to average them and lead to a common denominator. Below, in ascending order are shown the traditional annual salaries of programmers from these companies without taking into account possible bonuses or bonuses and without deducting local taxes. If you really want to work in IT field, search IT Jobs more suitable for you and refine your cv for this profession.

Apple
Facebook
Twitter
Google
Juniper Networks

5. Apple pays its developers an average salary of $ 118,192

At Apple, all offices are made in the traditional form - there are practically no cube bikes: you will have your own separate office with air conditioning and a refrigerator, which is usually divided between 2-3 developers from one team (project). Employees note the pleasantness of this work in terms of social status - all friends exclaim “Wow!” When they hear where you work.

4. Facebook pays its developers an average salary of $ 118,857

Really very serious selection, theoretically only the most talented and persistent people get here. The pace of development is fast, according to the structure of the organization, it is assumed that everyone is able to solve all their problems. All teams are small in size, with strong fragmentation and narrow specialization. Here 2-level management is applied: between the ordinary / lower developer and the head of the company there are a maximum of two managing managers. Hence the great independence and responsibility. Facebook is obsessed with competing with Google, where the most valuable employees are allegedly constantly being lured, so raising salaries on Google almost automatically entails raising salaries on Facebook.

Negative: some are convinced that the above pace is “even too fast.” Many also complain about mediocre food.

3. Twitter pays its developers an average salary of $ 120,768

Positive: innovativeness in everything, hence the interesting work for technologists of all stripes. Upon admission to the staff of this company there is a right to choose furniture and a computer. And if we additionally take into account that this can be done only once (directly during employment), then the office of the company as a whole looks very heterogeneous and anarchist. Like the company itself.

Negative: a record-high staff of managers, many vague posts and varieties of managers of various levels and degrees.
2. Google pays its developers an average salary of $ 124,520

Positive: a great company with a great history, which allows not only to be proud of the fact of working in it, but also to make a personal contribution to the development of world-famous Internet products. The company, of course, has its own culture of work and leisure - here you can find everything that you might need in everyday life: a gym, a dining room and a cafe, a hairdresser, massage, showers and so on ...

Negative: many veterans say that Google is not the same. This is not as innovative company as it was recently. Technicians are no longer here a force determining the future of their company - business and management now solves all the most important and crucial issues at all levels of development. Of course, this is a company for workaholics.

1. Juniper Networks pays its developers an average salary of $ 128,378

A very competitive and mobile company that strives to remain innovative and make the most good products. This allows her to remain stably profitable over the past 10 years, demonstrating strong growth and development. It is noteworthy that the average age of developers in this company is 25-28 years.

Negative: many complain that bureaucrats spoil the life of talented developers here too. But the important ratio “invested power / income” makes this company by far the best among all in the world.
